SUMMER SOLSTICE YOGA

The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year, when we receive the most amount of time to bask in the delight of the sun's light. We invite you to join us to witness the sunrise, and celebrate this auspicious day with movement, mantra, and closing together with a specially themed solstice yoga nidra (meditative yogic sleep).

Join us at Unity Yoga for the first Yoga Drawing Circle!
A fun evening of yoga and life drawing. Time to move, chat and be creative. All experience levels of drawing and yoga welcome. The evening will start with a 50 minute flowing yoga practice, and a 10 minute visioning meditation to help get the creative juices flowing. We'll take a short break for delicious vegan snacks, and then get drawing, sketching, colouring and charcoaling.
All models will be clothed, and all drawing and yoga equipment provided. Come wearing comfy clothes. Feel free to bring an extra cushion to sit on or any additional drawing materials you would like. Plenty of bolsters and some chairs will be available.
The theme for this inaugural Yoga Drawing Circle, will be the summer solstice! Together we'll celebrate the gift of the longest day of the year, the beauty of the sun and light.
Suitable for all levels of yoga, and no previous artistic experience necessary. The evening is led by Unity Yoga teacher, Alyce and illustrator, Kerry. Both long time yogis and creatives.

A SONIC SOUNDSCAPE

Join Muna for an exploration of deep sound immersion.
In this workshop Muna uses a combination of instruments to soothe and bathe you into a sea of healing vibrations. You will be immersed and caressed by gorgeous vibrations from crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other resonant instruments to relax your body and mind.
During this workshop Muna will guide you through movement and breath, journeying towards a resting stillness in a space of deep relaxation.
Come and be cocooned in a beautiful and cosy space and expect to re-emerge feeling rested and renewed.

WHAT is included within the workshop?
This is a 3.5- hour workshop that include opening with a short vinyasa flow, followed by a Nutritional Talk from Rosie and then finally, the workshop with close with a 1.5 hour Yin Yoga class, that includes some 121 massaging and Yin Yoga session that includes the use of a multitude of carefully thought through essential oils.
There will also be some healthy snacks provided and a goodie bag to take away

Why Period health?
Your period is not just your period, it's an expression of your underlying health. When you are healthy your period should arrive smoothly, regularly and without undesirable symptoms. Yes- PMS might be common but it is not normal. When you are unhealthy in some way your cycle will tell a story. This supper club is designed to help you understand that story and give you some practical tips on how to support period health. The areas we will cover include:
Understanding your hormones at different part of your cycle
Tips on how to track your cycle and the benefits beyond fertility
Practical nutritional tips on how to regulate your cycle, reduce PMS and embrace your monthly period. You might not believe you would ever embrace your period, but give me an hour and let's see.
The contraceptive pill as a means of 'hormonal balance' will also be discussed. Spoiler alert: The Pill doesn't balance your hormones.

Yin Yoga is an internal practice which focuses on slowly and mindfully entering poses and holding those poses for longer periods of time. We invite a soft flow of breath into the body, allowing our body to naturally open up as the pose evolves. In Yin Yoga we apply moderate stress to the connective tissues, increasing flexibility to the body whilst releasing tension along our energetic pathways. We embrace this meditative practice bringing light to the darker corners of the body.
The power of touch should never be under-estimated! Massage helps the physical body by removing knots and adhesions in the muscles, releasing tension but also nourishing and supporting the emotional-self.
Yin Yoga, Essential Oils and massage harmonise perfectly with each other – providing all of the senses with what they need to move into balance. At the end of the session Aimee and Rosie hope you will walk (or float) away with more knowledge about essential oils but equally a feeling of tranquility and rejuvenation that is second-to-none.
In an age where knowledge is bountiful and intuition is dying, women now struggle to understand the subtleties of their bodily signs and symptoms. Therefore, their hormones
often become suppressed or seen as something of an inconvenience. Using modern science and tradition wisdom, Rosie's supports women to get their hormones back into balance and feel better than ever.

WHO is running the workshop?
Rosie is Nutritionist (who specialises in Female Hormones and Fertility – www.rosielife.org ) and Ayurvedic Yoga Massage Therapist and Aimee is a Yoga Teacher, who specialises in Yin Yoga. Rosie and Aimee are joining forces to provide a 3.5-hour workshop that enables women to come and learn a little about hormones, nutrition and enjoy a restorative 1.5-hour Yin Yoga session (incorporating individual massage!) and leave at the end feeling empowered, super relaxed and rejuvenated.
