I began a consistent yoga practice entirely by accident. After going to classes sporadically for a number of years I had very much convinced myself that I didn’t get on with yoga. I felt awkward, out of place and frustrated that I couldn’t stop thinking about what was for dinner during savasana. In 2015 a yoga studio opened around the corner from my flat and, wanting to support local businesses, I bought a class pass.
To my great surprise and delight I left my first class there exhausted, exhilarated and empowered. The flowing style of movement with breath allowed me to finally quiet my chattering mind and over time I learnt to respect my body for what it was capable of. My teacher training was Ashtanga Vinyasa and I like to bring elements of both to my classes. From ashtanga; determination, strength and patience. From vinyasa; creativity, fluidity and fun.
Expect any class with me to include opportunities to challenge yourself and opportunities to slow down and look inward.
